Tianjin Daily: Tianjin has Five New State-level International Scientific Cooperation Bases

2016.12.22

Tianjin Science and Technology Committee made known that Tianjin has five new National-level International Science Cooperative Bases. The five bases are: Tianjin University’s International Joint Research Center of Industry Crystallization Technology and Engineering, Tianjin Polytechnic University’s International Joint Research Center of Separation Membranes and Membrane Processes, Nankai University’s International Technological Cooperative Base of New Photovoltaic Power Generation Technology, Nankai University’s International Scientific and Technological Cooperative Base of Tumor Immunology and Biological Vaccines, and Tianjin Medical University (General Hospital)’s International Scientific and Technological Cooperative Base of Spinal Cord Injury. This year Tianjin obtained the largest amount of nominations after the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) started the project State-level International Scientific Cooperation Bases. Currently, Tianjin has 18 State-level International Scientific Cooperative Bases.

State-level International Scientific Cooperative Bases are approved by MOST. Organizations, scientific and technological parks, scientific research institutions, higher education institutions, innovative enterprises and scientific mediation organizations received the accreditation because of their significant achievements in the field of state-level international scientific and technological cooperation, their development potential, and their leading influence. Tianjin started to nominate and approve Tianjin Municipal-level International Scientific Cooperative Bases last year. This project aims at promoting international scientific and technological cooperation and scientific innovation, connecting Tianjin to the global scientific and technological resources, and participating in international frontier scientific and technological competitions and collaborations. Until now, 110 Municipal-level International Scientific Cooperative Bases have been approved. They will support the promotions of overseas high-level technological results in Tianjin and, at the same time, they will promote Tianjin’s technological enterprises worldwide.
